APPLICATION
Protecting instruments from the process — the right way.
A condensate chamber sits between the process line and the instrument, creating a physical barrier that prevents process conditions from reaching the measurement device directly. In steam service, it maintains a liquid water column that protects the transmitter diaphragm from direct steam contact and temperature extremes. In gas service, it traps condensate and foreign material before they reach the instrument. In liquid service with corrosive or viscous fluids, it isolates the instrument from direct contact with the process fluid.
TechLine condensate chambers are fabricated pressure vessels. They are not catalog items assembled from standard fittings — they are manufactured from seamless pipe, welded under ASME Section IX qualified welding procedures, hydrotested per ASME Section VIII Division 1 UG-99, and shipped with a pressure test certificate. Every chamber. No exceptions.
Standard stock: 3" pipe, 12" length, Schedule 80, 316SS or carbon steel, ½" FNPT connections, Configuration A. Ships immediately. For non-standard configurations — different pipe size, different material, different port configuration — TechLine manufactures to order with expedited delivery available.
