APPLICATION
The instrument rack that ships from stock and assembles in the field.
TechLine ModRack is a medium-duty modular support rack system designed for mounting electrical panels, remote I/O cabinets, analyzers, junction boxes, and other field equipment in process plant environments. It is an off-the-shelf product — configured from standard stanchions, receivers, and strut components that are available from stock — that assembles in the field without cranes or heavy lifting equipment.
The distinction from custom fabricated racks is significant. Traditional instrument racks in process plants are custom-welded structures built to engineering drawings — expensive, long lead time, and inflexible once fabricated. ModRack provides a configurable alternative that accommodates the range of equipment typically mounted in process plant instrument areas, at a fraction of the cost and lead time of custom fabrication, with the flexibility to reconfigure as equipment layouts change.
ModRack is suitable for permanent and temporary applications. The modular components disassemble and reconfigure without cutting or welding, making it the correct choice for turnaround and temporary installations where the rack may need to be modified or relocated.
HOW IT WORKS
Three components. No welding. No crane.
Set the stanchions
Two 84" vertical stanchions form the frame. Bolt them to a concrete pad, structural steel, or specify direct burial for grade-penetrating installations.
Attach receivers at any height
Adjustable receivers clamp to the stanchions wherever you need a crossbar position. Each receiver set includes stainless steel hardware and two SS spring nuts. Reposition anytime without cutting or welding.
Slide in crossbars and mount equipment
Crossbars seat into the receivers — single strut, double strut, or 2" square tubing depending on equipment weight and width. Mount panels, cabinets, analyzers, or junction boxes directly to the crossbars.
Single-sided or dual-sided configurations. Add roof panels for weather protection. The whole system assembles by hand in the field and reconfigures the same way — no permanent modifications to any component.
Part number structure for ordering:
TLMMR - [Receiver Type] - [Receiver Sets] - [Material] - [Cross Support Width] - [Roof Type]
Example: TLMMR-S-4-GV-0-NR = Single strut receivers, 4 crossbar positions, galvanized, no cross supports, no roof.
Direct burial: Add D.B. and required below-grade length to the end of the part number.
